San Francisco street candid - saxophone player

Update: San Francisco Street Artists (0507-001) on Photoduniya.com

To my readers, Chen Wei is now a familiar name. Here is another image of Chen as he takes a moment to thank a patron and pose for the camera too! No matter where he is on the tune, Chen always takes the time to thank anyone who is generous enough to either appreciate his music or drop a dollar.

He was frail, shy and quite engrossed in his ehru. For those who might be hearing the name Ehru for the first time, it’s a two stringed instrument, with a sound box. The sound box used to be made out of snake skin. This is one of the oldest of the string instruments, found from before 100 BC in china and later popularized by the oriental court musicians.

San Francisco street artist - tuba player

Jeffrey, or Jeff in short, plays the tuba. Unconventional in dress and style, Jeff’s been playing the instrument for quite some time. The day time keeps him busy with his full time job, and the evenings practicing at home or playing on the streets for a few dollars.

San Francisco tram cars - motion

This might be a little off the track that I have been posting lately on the city’s street artists. As much interesting as the people, are the tram cars. Not just a tourist attraction, it’s also a fun way of moving around the city.

Especially if you are carrying a video camera and trying to shoot scenes all over. All you need to do is get on one, and hold your video camera flat on your palm! You don’t get to move though, or shake, or shiver. Just be still!
