Impressions - Reflections & Color

PHOTOduniya is all about Impressions and Art and Color.

There are numerous ways of creating impressions. However, replicating the ways in which the 18th century artists did, is probably one of the most successful ways of retaining and promoting the art. Rich colors and bold brush strokes.

Nature art remains primarily confined to subjects like flowers, rivers and the like. In fact, flowers are one of the most popular subjects of Impressionistic photography. Mainly because its easily available to photograph. In addition to that, if you look close enough, they are rich in colors and each seem to have it’s own personality!

For those fortunate enough to enjoy the colors of fall, a combination of various natural elements could provide excellent opportunities to create impressions. And you could create them on film, while shooting! The challenges are many, but the opportunities too are abundant.

Of all the film choices that you have, velvia probably offers the best saturation. A combination of circular polarizer and ND filter to create the brush stroke effect are the simplest of the tools you would need to create some of the best images.
