As an outsider, and someone who had only read about these massive colorful story telling picture boards (or walls actually), the paintings looked breathtaking. But the local people are so used to it that they never pause for a moment to see.

Dominated primarily by the colorful Latin art style, each wall mimicked inspirational stories. To a culture so diverse as that of San Francisco, they seem to be an extremely powerful way of communicating social and religious messages to the local population.
