This is an impressionistic photograph of California Poppies. During summer, California poppies grow like wild flowers. The Antelope California Park is one of the largest poppy fields in the country. This one was taken in the Coyote Hill State Park.

The impressionistic effect is created by combining two slides together. The individual images were shot on Fuji Velvia with Nikon F5 & off camera Speedlight Flashes. Each of the individual images were over-exposed by +1 to +1.3 & then sandwiched together.
