Impressionistic Photography: Peak Fall reflection, Connecticut, US

During the early week of September, the entire region of New England takes on a colorful appearence. The leaves have all reached the peak fall colors. And the bright reddish yellow afternoon sunlight seems to light the trees on flame.

This impressionistic image is taken in a State Park in Connecticut during the peak of a fall season. The mild breeze has sufficient ripples in the water to create brush stroke effect on the film. Since polarizing filters are not advised for shooting reflections, using a very saturated film like Fuji Velvia is recommended.

This picture is shot with a Nikon F100. No filters, flashes or any other camera overrides were used.
