| About the Animal Pictures & Zoo Photography |
.
.
All images are made on fuji chrome, primarily Velvia 50 and Velvia 100 then scanned electronically at 1800 dpi or on high resolution digital media. The usage of Photoshop ™ is limited to cropping, framing and cleaning up the digital file. All the images are in natural environment and settings. I have depended on Field Guides from National Audubon Society for identification of various species of butterflies, birds and mammals.

Although natural habitat for many of the animals are shrinking, refuges, nature research centers and voluntary agencies have geared up their efforts to preserve and save them. In the north east coast open zoos and pet farms provide opportunities to observe animals closely. California has reserve parks along the coastline preserving elephant seals, whales, birds of prey, migratory butterflies and shore birds.
