Today’s note is from Ming Xiong. He is a multi faceted artist – playing equally well on the string as well as on the wind instruments. He was playing the old English “Auld Land Syne“. Brought back long time memories from the famous Tagore song “Purano shei diner kotha” (meaning Long Time Ago, similar to the original translation of Robert Burn‘s 1788 poem “Old Long Ago” celebrating friendship and kinship) to the Noels & jingles of a cold snowy New York Christmas!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I liked this shot of Ming, as he swayed to the tunes of the “Auld Land”. The motion caught nicely with the speedlight SB 600 on Nikon D200.
